These schools have become the only rural tribal residential school in India to have an Atal Tinkering Lab and Innovation Lab. Sameer has received an appreciation letter from NITI Aayog (National Institution of Transformation of India) for the same. The lab was recently inaugurated by Honorable Speaker of Odisha Dr. Surjya Narayan Patro. From being from a place where they had never seen a train or a car in real life these kids have won accolades all around India making models like water rockets, hydroelectric generator etc.

They were the winner of Top 20 and Top 100 stories at the DFC I CAN Festival 2018 and were awarded by renowned Indian actor Rahul Bose for it.

The kids have also won various awards in different Block level science fairs and got appreciated at national level competitions.

Sameer has been able to impact 1200 tribal kids, in with his work, most of these kids, almost 40% girls, are first generation learners with their parents being farmers and laborers from marginalized communities.

Some of them have gone on to pursue subjects like engineering from top colleges in their state while some have been inspired by Steve Jobs and have found work in a garage while they look for their big thing.

The tribal girls are now getting to work with technologies like 3D printer where they can prototype their ideas. They are building objects like keychains for foreign students from The American School in Switzerland and see a future beyond the village.
